Pรณga our Therapy Dog

At Knockavoe School, we are delighted to have Póga, our therapy dog from ADNI (Assistance Dogs NI). Póga has a very special name which means 'kisses' and to 'bring peace'. Póga plays a very important role in supporting the wellbeing of our pupils, bringing comfort, calm, and joy to the school community. Whether it's a gentle cuddle, a walk, or simply being nearby, Póga helps create a positive and nurturing environment for everyone.

Póga comes from ADNI, where he has had lots of special training before joining our school. From puppyhood Póga has learned how to be calm, gentle and friendly in busy places. He has practised listening to commands, meeting lots of new people, and visiting different environments so he is confident wherever he goes. All this training has helped Póga become the wonderful therapy dog he is today - ready to bring comfort, happiness and support to the Knockavoe family.
