This term, our pupils in FE1 have been busy getting out and about and exploring the local community. They have been enjoying building their citizenship skills and learning for life and work, by developing practical skills and knowledge about keeping safe in the community. Recently, they have enjoyed going to the Millennium Forum, Derry, to see the pantomime, Aladdin; they have also visited the local fire station as part of a Road Traffic Collision Awareness event, organised by Strabane Community Safety Partnership; we have enjoyed visiting ASPACE2 at the The Alley Theatre, where we were treated to a DELICIOUS cup of tea and EXCELLENT customer service! We followed this up by catching the 398A from Abercorn Square back to school. A very special shout out to the superb bus driver who made the journey to enjoyable and accessible for our pupils. We will certainly be back on the buses again soon! Some of our pupils have also been practising their shopping skills, by visiting ASDA and helping to buy groceries for their friends in school! So delighted and proud of them for all their hard work!
