Our pupils in FE1 and Glenside went absolutely DOTTY today in Knockavoe for International Dot Day. International Dot Day falls on 15th September this year and celebrates 20 years since the publication of the children's book "The Dot", by Peter H. Reynolds.

The book tells the story of a little girl, Vashti, who is adamant that she "just can't draw". When encouraged and prompted by her art teacher to "just make a mark" and see how she goes, Vashti draws a dot on the page and signs it. What ensues is a lovely little story about resilience, success and celebrating talents.

The students had a go today at making their own mark and enjoyed taking part in some dot-inspired art, songs, sensory stories and activities.
