Love for Life

28th Jan 2025
On Monday, Ryan and Ruth from Love For Life came and delivered their "Allsorts" programme to our secondary pupils in Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.

A fantastic program which engaged pupils sensitively and appropriately in the topics of self awareness, friendships, puberty, relationships and how sex is a special gift to share with someone special when you are older and are growing in love for that person.

Pupils were actively engaged and loved the session, and feedback from staff and pupils alike has been extremely positive! The programme was adapted and delivered in an accessible manner that was perfectly suited to the needs and level of understanding of the pupils present.

Thank you so much to Ryan and Ruth and all at Love for Life! We can't wait to have you back.

RSE is a statutory requirement of the curriculum for all school aged children in Northern Ireland and teaches vital and invaluable skills and lessons in self awareness, connectivity with others and how individuals can become positive contributors to society. It forms part of the curriculum for Learning for Life and Work across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.

A few comments from our pupils following the sessions when asked "what did you learn about today?"

"We learned about periods and stuff and what to do if you ever feel sad or unhappy"

"I talked about who I am and what my favourite things are"

"We talked about different relationships and how being friends is different than being romantic with someone"

"If you ever feel sad or worried, you can talk to your mummy or teacher"

"Getting married and having a baby when you grow up"
