Dear all parents/guardians,
Please find attached a copy of the draft version of our revised Relationships and Sexuality Education (RSE) Policy which has been reviewed in line with the current Department of Education (DE) statutory guidance. The policy outlines how the provision of RSE instruction will be delivered at Knockavoe.
As a school, we appreciate that the teaching of RSE can cause some apprehension, given some of the more sensitive topics as your child progresses through the school. However, we wish to assure you that, as with all teaching at Knockavoe, our pupils' needs, readiness and wellbeing remain our top priority. Lesson content and delivery will remain child-focused and at a pace suitable to the pupils' development and understanding.
