Today the pupils of Knockavoe gave a warm welcome to Mark Browne, the Permanent Secretary of Education.
The visit once again showed the power of our children’s voice as on arrival the student council introduced our school ethos and values as portrayed through the Rights of the Child.
The visit continued with the pupils showcasing their thoughts, feelings and talents and Mark, accompanied by Julie was blown away by the celebration of our school success.
This visit did include a discussion on the demands of education and the school site, budget cuts etc whilst highlighting how we strive to remove any barriers to education to ensure we “Reach for a Brighter Future”, together!
We are so proud of each and every pupil and staff member who work so hard in our school daily and Mark left with what can only be described as ‘walking on sunshine’!
